Bug reports that land in Linear, not in your inbox.

Add one script tag to your app. Bug reports, feature requests and feedback arrive as Linear issues, labeled and prioritized by ticket type, with a screenshot and the page details attached.

It arrives ready to work.

No inbox to triage and nothing to retype. Each ticket type carries its own Linear label and priority, so a bug report shows up as a bug, at the priority you chose.

Below the reporter’s words, every issue lists the page details you would otherwise have to ask for: the URL, page title, browser, viewport, screen size, language, timezone and timestamp. The screenshot follows.

An example issue as PageChute writes it: the report, an environment table filled in from the page, then the screenshot.

One script tag to install.

Paste the tag just before the closing </body> tag. Ticket types, labels, priorities and allowed domains are set in the admin console, not in your code.

A project stays inactive until it has an allowed origin, an enabled ticket type and a Linear connection, and you switch it on. The console then gives you this tag with your project key and accent filled in.

<script
  src="https://app.pagechute.com/widget.js"
  data-key="[YOUR PROJECT KEY]"
  data-accent="#2855A6"
  async></script>

Nothing kept in between.

  • Screenshots go straight to Linear

Each screenshot is uploaded to Linear with the issue and never stored by PageChute. On our side it exists only for the length of the request.

  • Linear keys are encrypted

Your Linear API key is encrypted with AES-256 before it is saved.

  • Only the users you allow

Limit reporting to verified users of your app with HMAC or JWT identity verification. This adds an identify call to the snippet and a signature from your server.

Drop it in. It shows up in Linear.
